Direct Access Endoscopy (DAE)

We realize our patients have busy schedules and limited time to devote to their routine health care needs. In an effort to provide screening colonoscopy examinations in a more convenient and efficient manner, we offer Direct Access Endoscopy (DAE).

Direct Access Endoscopy is a joint effort between participating primary care physicians and HGA. A patient may schedule his/her colon cancer screening colonoscopy without an office visit, provided certain criteria are met.

When we receive the referral from your primary care physician, our office will contact you and begin the process of scheduling your procedure, thus, avoiding a pre-procedure office appointment. You will meet with one of our leading gastroenterologists in Houston, performing your procedure just prior to the exam.
